School Desk moves for staff at Sutton High School

A few weeks back I went to teach the staff at Sutton High School how to move at their school desks!

The workshop focused on reducing shoulder and back pain, tips on improving how to sit and breathing as a tool to help with tummy tension. During the workshop everyone also had a meander around the room whilst we went through how to walk!

The workshop was a great success. I will be returning to Sutton High School again soon but to work with the 6th formers in preparation for their exams. We will specifically looking at moves and breath techniques for reducing stress and also moves to keep energised. This is all part of the Move At Your School Desk programme.

Move At Your School Desk

Move At Your School Desk is a programme for schools, consisting of movement workshops and videos delivered by me.

Exam stress, anxiety, low energy and a low mood are some of the wellbeing issues both physically and mentally faced by students at school. This affects how students perform both academically and socially.

The programme of workshops consist of fun and simple movements and breathing techniques to improve how students feel physically and mentally.
